Dunham goes back-to-back in NRA Sprints, Vaughan gets first Limaland Mod win, and Matheny wins Thunderstocks at Limaland

Limaland welcomed fans and teams back to the ¼ mile of thunder on Friday night as K&L Ready Mix presented the K&L Ready Mix Clash. The Ohio Logistics NRA 360 Sprints made their final points stop at Limaland for 2022, with Leipsic Ohio’s Chase Dunham picking up his 2nd consecutive victory in his family-owned No. 66. No. 36 Brandon Vaughan grabbed his first career Limaland victory in the Northwest Physical Therapy DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, and No. 1 Jeff Matheny bagged his 2nd win of the year in Lock Sixteen Thunderstock competition.

The Ohio Logistics NRA 360 Sprint Invaders hit the track first in feature action with Dunham and No. 16 Tylar Rankin making up the front row of the 25 lap A Main. Dunham would grab the lead early and avoid multiple cautions to win, grabbing his 2nd consecutive victory at Limaland. No. 11G Luke Griffith would finish 2nd over Rankin, No. 22H Randy Hannagan would finish 4th and No. 23 Devon Dobie would complete the top 5.

Next up were the Northwest Physical Therapy DIRTcar UMP Modifieds in their 20-lap feature event. No. 82 Dalton Lane and No 36 Brandon Vaughan would make up the front row in the A Main. Vaughan would grab the lead and hold off the challenges of No. 16 Jeff Koz, No. 22T Tony Anderson, and a last lap charge from Churubusco Indiana’s Todd Sherman to collect his first Limaland Modified victory. Sherman would finish 2nd over Anderson, Koz, and No. 9PG Percy Gendreau.

Wrapping up feature racing were the Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks in their 15 lap A Main. No 74 Craig Dippman and No. 1W Mark Wooten would bring the field to the initial green flag, with Dippman grabbing the early lead. Multiple cautions marred the stock car feature, with Richmond Indiana’s Jeff Matheny surviving to pick up the win over Dippman. No. 25 Nick Bowers would finish 3rd, No. 72 Wayne Gibson 4th, and No. 22T Tony Anderson would complete the top 5.

When the gates swing open at Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday July 29th, it won’t be business as usual at the quarter-mile speedplant located in Allentown, Ohio. In addition to the action-packed Season Championship racing program, Limaland will also host Family Fun Night, featuring fun for all ages, and giveaways for the kids going back to school.

Backpack and bike giveaways will take place during the event before the races
In addition, there will be inflatables and bounce houses for the younger fans to enjoy.

Then the fun and excitement rolls over to the race track as the Non Wing Sprint Cars hit the high banks of Limaland for the final time in 2022.
